The Central Falls Mill Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (National Register) in 1978 as a group of seven woolen textile and thread-making mill buildings and related infrastructure on the east side of Roosevelt Avenue, comprising the original six mill privileges along the Blackstone River granted in the city of Central Falls, Rhode Island. The City of Central Falls hired The Public Archaeology Laboratory, Inc, to prepare National Register boundary expansion documentation for the Central Falls Mill Historic District in order to encompass previously excluded industrial mill buildings south and west of the original district boundary.
