An independent, non-profit corporation with offices and laboratories located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, PAL has successfully completed a wide range of more than 1,600 projects in the areas of cultural resource management, historic preservation planning, and regulatory consultation and compliance.  Our clients include federal, state, and local agencies; non-profit institutions; and private developers.  Established in 1982, PAL has steadily grown to become the largest private cultural resource management firm in New England with a staff of more than 40 people.

As the leading cultural resource management firm in New England, PAL’s mission is to supply our clients with the highest level of service available in our industry.  We accomplish this by being available and responsive to our clients, maintaining a high degree of integrity within our profession, and applying a multidisciplinary approach to our projects that combines the talents of historic, prehistoric, and marine archaeologists; architectural and industrial historians; historians; preservation planners; conservators; and technical support staff who contribute to produce products that withstand the most rigorous review. We have the management skills, manpower, and support systems necessary to insure that all projects, large or small, are completed as scheduled and within budget.
