USCG First District Shore Facilities
PAL completed survey and National Register evaluation of historic architectural resources at 18 U.S. Coast Guard First District Shore Facilities for the U.S. Coast Guard.
Process & Results
The project is an example of PAL's capabilities for performing large-scale historic architectural surveys that require complex logistical planning and rapid mobilization to meet a tight schedule.
Facilities range in size from small, compact stations to multicomponent installations containing more than 300 properties.
Results of the survey were presented in 18 separate reports that addressed the full extent of resources located at each facility.
Products are used by the Coast Guard to facilitate consultation with State Historic Preservation Offices in the respective states about projects that might impact historic properties.
