The research interests of PAL senior and supervisory level staff reflect a wide array of expertise. PAL staff are encouraged to pursue their research interests and present at professional conferences and meetings. They frequently publish the results of studies conducted both within the framework of cultural resource management projects and as independent research.

Articles by PAL staff have appeared in international, national and regional level journals and edited volumes within the fields of archaeology, archaeological science, history, architectural history, ethnohistory, geoarchaeology and paleobotany.
