South Street Landing Wins Prestigious National Preservation Award

PAL is proud to have helped launch the successful preservation and adaptive reuse project of the former South Street Station electric generating facility (built 1912–1925) that has been awarded the prestigious Richard H. Driehaus Foundation National Preservation Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation! We prepared the nomination for its National Register of Historic Places listing in 2006 and were the preservation consultants through 2008 for a planned multi-use redevelopment that set the stage for this eventual award-winning reuse. We are delighted by the preservation of this important part of Providence’s harbor-front heritage. National Preservation Award
