Tribal Consultation

PAL offers invaluable consultation services based on longstanding working relationships with many Native Nations and Tribes.

Tribal consultation is an important part of almost every PAL archaeological project. Senior staff have developed close professional relationships with Tribal Leaders and Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (THPOs) built on respectful communication and mutual trust.

PAL’s cultural resource investigations on Tribal lands include: archaeological investigations, historic architectural survey, and National Register of Historic Places documentation. We assist clients in the Tribal consultation processes established under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGRPA), and other federal and state laws.
